Ohio has seen some great boys in the 800 meter run over the years. Marc Sylvester of St. Ignatius held the 800 meter all-time record in Ohio for 21 years, Nick Plant of Canfield broke that record just last year, and now Kaleb Nastari breaks that record with an incredible time of 1:48.31. He repeats as state champion, and his time is currently the top time in the entire country. Right from the gun you knew it was going to be a special race. Kaleb went out fast, and just kept going. There is now no doubt as to who is the 800 meter king in the history of Ohio High School Track and Field. Congratulations Kaleb.
