Juliette Laracuente-Huebner of Marengo Highland sets new State Record in the D2 Girls High Jump

Juliette Laracuente-Huebner of Marengo Highland High School set the state meet and division 2 state record in the girls high jump. Her jump of 5′ 10.75″ eclipsed the old state meet record of Dana Stearns (5′ 10.25″) and the old division 2 state record of Katelyn Williams (5′ 10.5″). This exceptional athlete earlier this year tied the division 2 100 meter hurdle record at 13.89. She hold the record with Leah King of Perry set in 2018. She will be running in the 100 meter hurdles this afternoon where she is the top seed with a time of 14.29.
