Glenville Boys and Woodridge Girls Win Division 2 Regional Titles at Austintown

The Woodridge girls scored 75.5 points enroute to the girls division 2 regional title at Austintown Fitch stadium this afternoon. Outstanding performances were turned in by Anna Rorrer of Woodridge. She won the 100 hurdles, and the 300 hurdles. Sieasia Triplett of Girard won the 100 and the 200. Leila Metres of Hawken won the 400 and placed 2nd in the 200. Amy Weybrecht of Gilmour Academy won the 1600 and was 2nd in the 800.

The Glenville boys team won the last race of the day, the 4 x 400 meter relay, to add another regional title to their credit. The Tarblooders score 84 points to best the Woodridge boys (74). Dillon Morlock of Norwayne set a new meet record in the shot put with a throw of 64′ 1.5″. The previous record was 61′ 10″ set by Adam Patterson in 2010. Dillon also won the discus with a throw of 173′ 2″. Brayden Richards of Perry won the 300 hurdles and the pole vault. Bryce West of Glenville won the 100 and the 200.
