The Solon Boys and Girls won district track & field championships at the Austintown Division 1 tournament. The boys team scored 135 points and the girls scored 147 points in route to victories. Connor Boland of Geneva was a triple winner winning the 100, 200, 400 and was a member of the 2nd place Geneva 4 x 400 relay. Other outstanding performance were: Nick Tibolla of Austintown winning the 110 hurdles, the 300 hurdles and was a member of the Austintown’s winning 4 x 100 relay. James Howell of Solon won the 800, the 1600 and was a member of the Solon winning 3200 and 1600 relays.
On the girls side, Solon girls scored 147 points to sweep the girls district championship. Outstanding performances by Cariona Lewis of Solon. She won the 400, was 2nd in the 200 and was a member of the winning 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 relays. Sadie Poudevigne of Kenston won the high jump and the long jump.
