Salem D2 District-Salem Girls and Marlington boys win 4 x 800 titles

The Marlington boys ran an 8:03.24 in route to the 4 x 800 meter relay championship. That team included Cohen Boyce, Michael Nicholls, Luke Ryan and Colin Cernansky.

On the girls side, Salem girls ran a 9:26.17 to win the 4 x 800 meter relay title. Team included Ella Double, Maggie Hoppel, Megan Stafford and Maggie Hall.

In other final events Mariah Richards of CVCA won the high jump (5′ 3″), Makenna Rudy of Salem won the shot put, Lamar Taylor of Coventry won the long jump (20′ 6″) and Ryan Kamperman of Salem won the discus (172′ 7″).

Tuesday at Fairless McKayla Wymer of Akron Manchester won the pole vault (10′ 0″) and Merrik Baker of Akron Manchester won the boys pole vauly  (10′ 0″).

After Thursday’s final events were scored Salem girls (32.20) and Salem boys (25) led the scoring.
