The Kenston girls 4 x 800 meter relay started off the Division 1 district track and field meet at Austintown Wednesday by capturing the title in a time of 9:41.34. Members of that relay team were Paige Masson, Cecelia Paglia, Emerson Greene and Brianna McIvor.
On the boys side, Solon boys ran a 7:59.79 to capture the boys 4 x 800 meter relay title. Relay team members were Matt Headen, Jack Behm, Charles Kasper and James Howell.
Field event winners moving on to the regional competition next week at Austintown were: Max Bailey of Aurora in the discus (146′ 4″), Sadie Poudevigne, Kenston, in the high jump (5′ 2″), Courtney Clark, Howland, in the shot put (43′ 9″), Alex Bzdafka, Solon, in the pole vault (13′ 8″) and Nicolas Cuva, Tallmadge, in the long jump (20′ 6.25″).
