The Medina girls won the D1 4×800 in 9:11.01. The team made up of Rachel Smith, Jenna Razavi, Kayla Kutcel and Mia Heine were in contention most of the race, and then a great anchor leg by the sophomore Heine brought home the victory.
In the boys race, it was the quartet from Loveland taking the gold. They lead from the very start and only gave up the lead for a short time, before senior Ryan Chevalier finished it off in style. They won in a time of 7:45.34, winning by about 3 seconds over second place St. Xavier.
Congratulations to both teams on a great race.
