McDonald boys scored 126 points on their way to a championship at the Lew Speece Invitational at Berlin Center Western Reserve High School Saturday. Garfield was 2nd with 79 points.The McDonald Girls scored 88 points to best 2nd place Southeast (80.5). Andre Rodgers of Gilmour Academy was a double winner taking the 100 meter dash in 11.11 and the 200 meter dash in 22.79. Tyler Klouda of Garfield was also a double winner taking the 1600 meter run in 4:39.15 and the 3200 meter run in 9:35.75. Anna Guerra of McDonald also was a double winner taking the 1600 meter run in 5:43.13 and the 3200 meter run in 11:17.20. The McDonald girls swept three of the four relay events winning the 4 x 800 in 10:08.38, the 4 x 400 relay in 4:22.62 and the 4 x 200 relay in 1:52.83.
