The Chagrin Falls girls won gold in the 4×800 relay for the second consecutive year. The quartet of Hailey Lowe, Catherine Coffey, Annie Zimmer and Halle McClintock sped their way to a impressive time of 9:12.10. Carrollton was runner-up in a time of 9:15.61, narrowly defeating third place Indian Creek by .03 seconds.
On the boys side, it was Worthington Christian who came out on top. Another very competitive race that was high contested until the final 100 meters. The winning team was made up of Luke Smith, Kyle Smith, Jake Bertelsen and Jordan Jackson, who are all juniors and will return next year to defend their title. As in the girls race, the battle for 2nd came down to a photo finish. Lexington ended up winning by .005 seconds.
Congratulations to all who competed on excellent races.
