Akron St Vincent St Mary, CVCA Win Division 2 Track & Field Titles at Austintown Regional

The Akron St. Vincent St Mary girls scored 45 points to win the D2 title. Buchtel was second with 40 points. On the boys side CVCA won the title scoring 57 points; Salem was second with 54 points. Tre Tucker, the fine sprinter from CVCA set the only meet record. He eclipsed the previous mark of 21.5 (hand timed) in 1996. He ran 21.32 (legal wind of +1,7). Tre was a triple winner having won the 100 meter dash earlier in the day at 10.59 and the long jump, 21′ 7.75″.  The Buchtel girls swept all three sprint relays in route to their championship. They won the 4 x 200 in 1:42.70 (Damya Barker, Dymond Myers, London Green and Rayannah Torrence), the 4 x 100 relay in 49.08 (Drew Oliver, Tayonia Whitaker, Green and Myers), and the 4 x 400 relay in 4:00.60 (Barker, Dana Beasley, Myers and Torrence).
